02/10/2020 - Portfolios - Entry 21

The portfolio is a large part of the F1 in Schools competition. It is where all of your work, progress and evaluation is documented. In entry class, there is one 5-page portfolio, in development class there are two (one for design and engineering and one for enterprise) 5-page portfolios and in professional class there are two 10-page portfolios. For these, we prepare every month by writing portfolio notes. For the enterprise portfolio, Isaac and Saul write monthly notes on the progress we have made with writing sponsorship emails and negotiating deals with possible sponsors. We also take notes on our team identity and all of the tech-y things Isaac has done (program our mailing list, make the QR code for our website etc.) The Design and Engineering portfolio is different, in that the notes we take every month are just bullet points, and we will write it out in full when our Graphic Designer Saul does the formatting of the pictures, writing and diagrams for our portfolio. We write about the results of our CFD tests, Seb and Kai's designs and the process of translating them into CAD. Thanks for reading!
