Q: What aspect of taking part
in F1 in schools excites/inspires you the most?
A: Thanks so much for that
question Emma! We liked it so much we thought it would be fitting to devote a
whole blog entry to it, with each member of our team giving different
responses.
Isaac: Undoubtedly, the
making of the car. I love manufacture and getting to learn about new tools and
methods to make a given object. I also like the ability for me help create
website, and put my coding skills to use on our website, www.teammarl.in.
Saul: For me, it’s the
capability to create and mould the identity of a brand from scratch. Being able
to decide the colours, designing the logo and creating a team image for a F1 in
Schools team is such an exciting opportunity. It also allows me to constantly
be improving upon my previous work, and keeping the brand alive and fresh. I’m
really lucky to be able to join the former members of Team Peregrine and Thrust
Engineering who are incredibly talented at what they do, and creating a unique
and distinguishable identity for them is an amazing thing for me to do. There
is something quite special about branding a team throughout time. Whilst the
members of the design team work on the car, with all their work leading up to
the race, branding and marketing a team is something you are constantly doing,
and there is something really thrilling about being able to do that.
Rian: F1 in Schools excites
me because it gives us a chance to express ourselves and do what we love. It
inspires me because there are so many teams that have won because they enjoy
what they do and work together with fellow team mates.
Dan: F1 in Schools allows me
to connect with people with the same interests and get to know them as
mentioned in blog entry 10. This is exciting!
Kai: The creativity, I can do
what I want. I could make a design on my own rules, I could test it on my own
rules. We can do things together; our team is not governed over. The freedom
makes F1 in Schools different and really fun.
Seb: The aspect of working
together as a team, being able to question and critique our ideas, learn and
start again. I also love being able to work together on so many different
aspects, learn from each and all of our work coming together in a single day.
